Organizers: The French water engineering society  (SHF), The Afeid (The French association for water, irrigation and drainage), The Academy of Water and the UISF (International Union of the French engineers and scientists)

The colloquium addresses issues related to future tensions on water management, linked to climate change and future water uses by 2050. These issues are tackled by studies in the fields of hydrology, climate, social sciences, at various scales in Europe and the Mediterranean.


The following topics are addressed:
1.  Past and present “crisis” and water tensions
2.  Future water regimes by 2050
3.  Methods for prospective studies
4.  Policy for adaptation

This event is held within the framework of the preliminary events of the 21th United Nations Climate Change Conference to be hosted by France in December 2015 (COP 21-Paris Climate 2015)
